On your days off, where would we most likely find you?
Definitely, on the field hockey pitch practicing or playing matches...although in the winter it'd be a gym playing indoor field hockey! It's just what I do, a huge part of my life which I'd never change and am grateful for the many opportunities I've had and friends I've made.
Describe a time that you wanted to quit something you were doing, but didn’t.
Every national training and practice before the Indoor Hockey Pan American Championships, and Indoor Hockey World Cup. It was so intense, my body told me to quit every other minute! But I didn't, and neither did my team. We won the Pan Ams which qualified us for the World Cup, and they turned out to be two of the greatest experiences of my life.
Who is your favourite superhero and why?
Ahh, it's a toss up between Flash and Wolverine for me. Wolverine's cool cause he has that mystery about him and no one really knows about his past. Plus the claws and healing ability make him just straight badass! Flash I always liked with his straight up speed, though his powers are much more.
When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Always wanted to be a pilot ever since I can remember. A fighter pilot from when I was really young to the end of high school and a cargo pilot flying aid later. Who knows though, may still happen yet :)
What is the most spontaneous thing you’ve ever done?
Up and move to Vancouver a couple weeks before school for first year university, when I was only 16. Or maybe going to London, England the very next year on a possible, but not guaranteed field hockey scholarship just days before classes? No, all those last minute hockey trips and traveling on a whim? Haha I dunno...I go where the wind blows, just too much to mention!
If you were stranded on an island, what one item would you want with you?
Hmm, tough one. Tempted to say a gps phone...but nah, that's just boring. I always wanted to be in an adventure like in the movies, so I'll say a knife. Yeahhh, just me and my trusty knife to survive in the wild! Being stranded with a cute girl would be pretty awesome too :p
What is your favourite outfit to wear?
Sweats and a tee is always good, or if it's warm enough, only shorts is the best. When it comes to choosing my own clothes, I just grab whatever is clean. When it comes to buying clothes, well, I just don't...that money can all go to traveling somewhere I can wear just shorts!
What was your favourite childhood television program?
Had to be the Fresh Prince of Bel Air! Will Smith doing his thing, always getting in trouble, but always having fun. He's so cool! Forget childhood, Fresh Prince is still my favorite show ;)
